It’s with regret that we can confirm that Vice Chair Mandie Thorpe has stepped down from the Trust board, hopefully temporarily.
It is impossible to overestimate how hard Mandie has worked since joining the board, not just in terms of her input here but also her work with the FSF where she was an expert adviser. She has always been prepared to take on tasks and that perhaps has contributed to the fact that she now feels over extended and has had to cut down on her commitments. Without doubt she deserves huge credit for the development of the Trust over the last two years.
It goes without saying that she will greatly missed, not just in terms of her work, but also her bubbly personality and sense of humour, and we all fervently hope that she will be able to recharge her batteries and return as she will be welcomed with open arms.
Regardless of whether that happens we wish her all the best and will give her any support that she needs.
